Summer Camp for Round Bay Kids ::

(June 28-July 30 MWF)
click for brochure | click for registration form

Beach Camp is a longstanding summer tradition...possible only with the assistance of the parents and caretakers who cooperatively run the camp. Each MWF fellow parents host a wide variety of camp activities from 9-11 am. Beach Camp favorite Ali Truesdale will also be back to help with sports and field games. If you would like to join the fun, please register and plan to choose a day to run an activity with a neighbor or two. You will receive an email soon with a calendar of events. Caretakers are required to help with camp and all children under the age of 12 need chaperones. This is not a drop off camp. Snacks will be provided by a different family every day. Make your own ice cream and watermelon seed spitting contests are just some of the treats in store. The snowball man might even pay a visit for a hometown favorite! Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to seeing you at Main Beach this summer!

OYSTER UPDATE:

A group of volunteers (David McCreight, Veronique Ulak, Fred Hall, Bert Mason, Zach Wingo, Trish & Mike Davis, John & Zoe Jeka) hung a total of 32 oyster gardens on the 3 community piers as well as the Davis Pier on Sunday. Each garden contains 500-800 oysters, so we will be contributing over 20,000 oysters to the health of the Severn River next spring. The gardens should always be underwater, so please help us to monitor their well being. If you see any exposed cages during an extreme tide, please contact any one of the volunteers immediately.
